Guidelines for buying ink and toner

Toner is the most important component of a printer/copier/fax machine. Basically, it is the powder that is used in printers to form text and images while printing. Therefore, when you buy ink and toner cartridges, make sure you buy good quality product as the quality of the toner would determine the quality of prints, as well as the longevity of your machine.

Every ink and toner manufacturer uses a specific polymer for manufacturing their brand of toner. While some of them use styrene acryl ate copolymer, or a polyester resin, there are others who use styrene butadiene copolymer or some other special polymers. The quality of the toner depends on its formulation. Since it varies from one manufacturer to the other, it is better to find out the special polymers that have been used for making the toner that you wish to buy for your machines.

When buying toner and ink cartridges, be sure of your printer model. If buying compatible ink cartridges or toner cartridges, read the manual carefully or ask the manufacturer whether or not it would be compatible with your printer brand.

Never buy ink and toner from a local shop as it can damage your machine in the longer run and also your market reputation. It is always better to buy toner cartridges from a reliable dealer as they would provide you with genuine toner cartridges for better printing results.

Lastly, go for a toner model that is not only within your budget, but will also be able to match up to your printing needs.
